FACEBOOK ON MOBILE JOINS OPTUS ZOO
17 June 2008, 09:00 AM
Optus announced today that Facebook, one of the world's most popular social networking tools, is now available to Optus mobile customers through the Optus Zoo WAP portal.
"Having access to Facebook through Optus Zoo will mean customers can now view or update their profiles, send a message or poke a friend, update their Facebook status and view photos, add comments or write on a friends fun wall all while on the go," Michael Smith, Optus Consumer Group Marketing Director, said.
"This will enable people to keep in touch with friends whether they're around the corner or around the world. Optus customers will be only one click away from Facebook directly on their mobile.
"With Facebook joining other great brands on Optus Zoo like MySpace Mobile, Fox Sports, Google, MTV Music Store and eBay, we are continuing to provide a wide range of content so customers can choose how they want to use their mobile.
"In addition to pay as you go options, Optus customers can use our mobile internet packs to access the world's most popular websites - delivering great value with the flexibility to suit their needs," Mr Smith said.
