Optus announced today a further boost to its network coverage in Western Australia (WA) with the installation of a new mobile facility at Two Rocks in the Sunset Coast of WA.
The new site will increase the depth of coverage for the people of Two Rocks and visitors to the area.
The new facility also provides local residents with a real alternative to other carriers and allows current Optus Mobile customers to use their mobile phones in more places in Western Australia.
Warren Hardy, Managing Director Optus Consumer said, "The new site is part of Optus' commitment to provide quality coverage to regional areas in WA.
"The population of WA will enjoy an expansion in network coverage as Optus continues to deliver on its commitment with the Western Australian Government to build 80 new sites across the state.
"To date, Optus has invested more than $109 million to roll out 312 mobile base stations across WA, providing network coverage to 91 per cent of the state's population," Mr Hardy said.
Vince Troth, Optus State Manager for Western Australia said, "The new mobile facility at Two Rocks, together with new sites planned for Breton Bay, Cervantes, Dongara and Jurien, will dramatically improve network coverage and further demonstrates Optus' commitment to WA."
