Starting from the 2015/16 season, we kicked off a three-year partnership with Cricket Australia – supporting both our men’s and women’s national cricket teams.
As the official Mobile Media Partner of Cricket Australia we gave our customers free access to the Cricket Australia Live Pass, so they can take their cricket experience on the go, and enjoy exclusive content and live streaming of Aussie matches on their mobile, tablet or laptop.
Jumping in during the Big Bash League 2015/2016 season and committing to another two seasons, we signed on as Melbourne Stars Big Bash League cricket team's new Principal Partner and Official Mobile Media Partner.
It’s an amazing opportunity for eligible customers to also stream Big Bash League matches live via their Cricket Australia Live Pass, thanks to our existing partnership with Cricket Australia.
Australian Olympic Committee
In December, 2015 we announced with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC), a 10-year agreement to become the official mobile multi-media partner of the Australian Olympic team starting from 2016.
In one of the Australian Olympic Committee’s biggest ever national partnership deals we’ll be supporting our Australian Olympic team as they head to Rio 2016, Tokyo 2020 and the yet to be determined host city for 2024.
It also covers the Winter Teams for PyeongChang 2018, Beijing 2022 and the yet to be determined host city for 2026.
Australian Paralympic Committee
If the partnership with the Australian Olympic Committee (AOC) wasn’t big enough, we’ve also entered a ground-breaking 10-year agreement to become Official mobile multi-media partner of the Australian Paralympic team
We’ll be proudly supporting our Summer and Winter Australian Paralympic teams in all competitions until 2026.
The Australian Open
Optus has been supporting Tennis in Australia since 2001 and in 2005 we became an Official Partner of the Australian Open the Grand Slam of the Asia Pacific.
After a decade partnership Optus is now an integral part of this globally recognised event.
