Complaints procedure for Copyright content
As part of a Free Trade Agreement with the United States, copyright regulations have been implemented in Australia (Copyright Act 1968 / Copyright Regulations 1969) which allow copyright owners to notify Optus directly where an Optus Internet customer is believed to be infringing copyright.
NOTE: Posting or disseminating material which violates the copyright or other intellectual property rights of others is a breach of the Optus Acceptable Use Policy - Appendix H. Engaging in such activity may result in Optus suspending/cancelling your account and/or possible legal action from the copyright owner.
Copyright owners must notify Optus in a manner that is in accordance with the Copyright Regulations. Optus is required to designate a person to be its designated representative to receive these notifications. That person is the Copyright Officer. You can send notices to the Optus Copyright Officer by:
Fax: 02 8085 9077
