Repair or Replace a Fixed Phone Handset

Here are your options if a handset rented or purchased from Optus requires repair or replacement. Be aware that Optus no longer rents or sells handsets, apart from TTY equipment for customers with a disability.

Purchased handsets

If your handset was either purchased from Optus or provided by us free of charge and you think it may still be in warranty, see our Device Warranties page. Here you will find the warranty for your handset which will provide information about:

  • the warranty period for your handset
  • arranging repairs or replacement

If the device is out of warranty, you can purchase a new handset from your preferred electronics retailer.

Rented handsets

We are unable to repair or replace rental handsets that are faulty, as Optus no longer supplies rental handsets. Contact us to have the rental charges for the faulty handset removed from your bill, then purchase a new handset from your preferred electronics retailer.
