124 YES Price Changes

On 23 September 2012, Optus will be increasing the price of the 124YES service.

What is 124YES?

124YES connects customers straight through to the number they want to call within Australia. Simply dial 124 937 (i.e. 124 followed by the numbers that spell YES on the keypad of your mobile phone) and you can then request the operator to connect you to most publicly listed telephone numbers in Australia.

In addition, 124YES allows you to request that the name and phone number of the person whose number you have requested to be sent to your mobile phone as an SMS (additional charge applies).

New 124YES Pricing

New pricing for 124YES effective from 23 September 2012 is as follows:

  • $1.75 per call to 124YES, plus the standard call rates according to your mobile rate plan for the duration of the call (previously $1.50 per call).
  • $0.25 charge for an SMS with the directory search result to be sent to your mobile.

SurePage Price Changes

Effective 21 August 2012

A price increase will take effect from 21 August 2012. If you are subscribed to the service as of this date, you will be automatically moved to the new plan and do not need to do anything. If you’d like to cancel your SurePage service before the price change takes effect, simply call 133937 or click here for other voicemail options.

What's changing

  1. Monthly access fees are increasing (please refer to Matrix below)
  2. Messages sent to you by the SurePage service will no longer be charged; and instead
  3. All calls answered by the SurePage operator will be charged according to your new plan.

Terms and Conditions

1. Availability of Optus Mobile services, including SurePage, are subject to handset compatibility.
2. You must be within the Optus Mobile network coverage to receive the SurePage message.
3. If your phone is turned off, or out of coverage, the SurePage message will be resent to your mobile phone for up to 7 days (after which it will be deleted) or until it is received.
4. The message is stored on the network for 7 days before it is deleted.
5. Usage charges for SurePage from 21 August 2012 will be based on calls answered by the SurePage operator and your applicable monthly subscription cost.
6. It may take up to 8 days from the original request date for message charges to be applied.
7. If you decide to port away from Optus, any Optus service previously provisioned will be unavailable from the time of the successful port, this includes all SMS and VoiceMail messages whether pending or stored.
