OPTUS FLEX PLUS TRAVELLER
General: Physical SIM or eSIM required. Service must be activated within Australia.
Minimum Total Cost: Minimum cost is the recharge amount on the chosen plan (plus $2 for a physical SIM if applicable).
eSIM: eSIM compatible device required. Service will automatically activate when eSIM order is placed (subject to activation processing times). You’ll need to download your eSIM profile using My Optus app to use your service.
Eligibility: Available to new services activated using a specially marked Value SIM or eSIM available from selected online and retail locations only. SIM swaps not available for value SIMs.
Activation bonus data: Additional data will be provided on first three recharges within 90 days of activation on the $35 and $45 plans (includes the initial recharge applied at activation). Reverts to standard data inclusion after 3rd recharge. New services only.
Recharge expiry: Your recharge will expire in the time frames specified, or on your next recharge (whichever is earlier). If you recharge before expiry, any unused days or inclusions will be forfeited.
Coverage: All Optus Flex Plus Traveller plans include access to the Optus 4G and 5G Networks (subject to availability and speed caps on selected plans). 5G available in selected areas (excluding NT) with a compatible device. Coverage will vary depending on your device and location. Check coverage at optus.com.au/coverage.
Speed caps: The $5, $20 and $35 plans are speed capped, which means your network speed is capped to a maximum potential speed of 150Mbps. The actual network speed you experience may be slower and will vary depending on a range of factors including your device, location, available bandwidth and source of download.
Recharging: You can only manually recharge your account (AutoRecharge and voucher recharges are not available).

- Online: Make a secure one-off recharge online by visiting optus.com.au/recharge You can use credit card, debit card or any other payment method specified by us from time to time

International Talk: Voice calls from Australia to standard international numbers in the specified destinations are included on all plans. On the $20 plan, unlimited standard calls are included from Australia to New Zealand, Singapore, mainland China, India and United Kingdom. On the $35 and $45 plans, unlimited standard calls are included from Australia to all Zone 1 destinations. See optus.com.au/prepaidint for a full list of eligible countries (subject to change). Unless unlimited, calls are charged per minute. Excludes non-standard international calls (e.g. premium, special, satellite, overseas toll-free numbers and video calls). Available where there is Optus 4G and Standard 5G (non-standalone) network coverage. 5G available in select areas with compatible device and plan. Coverage varies, see optus.com.au/coverage.
Exclusions: Your standard recharge does not include non-standard national and international calls (such as premium/special/satellite/overseas toll-free numbers and video calls), standard international calls to countries other than those specified, non-standard national SMS/MMS, international SMS/MMS and roaming but these may be accessed by purchasing an Add On.
Add Ons: Unless otherwise specified, you must be within an active recharge period to purchase Add Ons. With the exception of calls covered by the unlimited international calling inclusion on standard recharges, Add Ons are used before the same inclusion type included with your standard recharge. If you recharge with the same Add On before your current Add On expires, your inclusions will roll over (excludes Unlimited Data Day, and $5 International Talk). Unlimited Data Day Add On: Provides unlimited data and uncapped network speeds (actual speeds will vary). Expires 24 hours after time of purchase, activation may take up to 15 minutes. For use in Australia only on mobile phones. Fair Go Policy applies. Inclusions and expiry do not roll over. Not for commercial use. Limit 1 active Add-on at a time. Add-on may be withdrawn from sale without notice. Must be within active recharge expiry period to purchase.
Extras Credit Add Ons: You can use this for selected premium SMS services, roaming (excluding MMS) while overseas in selected destinations or international calls and messages from within Australia. For details of international call rates, go to optus.com.au/prepaidint. For roaming details go to optus.com.au/travel. Once used up, the purchase of another Add-On will be required. Compatible device required for roaming, see optus.com.au/VOLTEroaming. Depending on your plan, you may need to be within an active recharge period to purchase this Add-on.
International Roaming Add-ons: Roaming must be enabled on service. To use while roaming in Zone 1 destinations (eligible destinations are subject to change). Data counted in 10KB increments. Minutes to be used for standard outgoing calls to Australia or another Zone 1 destination, also used for incoming calls from any destination. Calls rounded up to nearest minute. Excludes satellite, aerospace and maritime destinations. Excludes MMS and non-standard calls/SMS. 160 characters per SMS. Optus makes no guarantee regarding the connectivity, quality, and availability of coverage while roaming on an international partner network. 5G available in selected countries only. $5 International Talk Add On: Calls are rounded up to the nearest minute. Excludes non-standard international calls (premium/special/satellite/overseas toll-free numbers and video calls). You must be within an active recharge period to purchase this Add-on.
