Optus Month-to-Month SIM: Approved consumers on selected mobile plans. Available for 24 hours from activation for eligible service only, no data sharing. Limit 1 Add-on per service at a time. You will be charged on your next monthly invoice.
International Talk and Text add-ons: Available on selected mobile plans to select destinations. You may automatically be charged via card on activation of the add-on, if no payment is made you will still have access to the add-on and the amount will be added to your next monthly invoice. Usage alerts are sent at 50%/85%/100% of your talk and text inclusions. Add-on expires/renews once inclusions are used or at end of payment cycle (whichever is first). Add-on can only be used in Australia.
Our Changes to Plans (month to month): We may make changes to your month-to-month mobile plan, options and add-ons, including changes to the plan price or inclusions. This could include moving you to a new plan, option or add-on which may cost more. If we increase your plan price or add-on fees (eg for additional data, international talk & text or roaming), decrease your included data or move you to a new plan, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice of these changes. If you don’t like the changes, you can choose a new plan (once per billing period) or cancel your plan. For any other changes we make to your plan that we reasonably believe may detrimentally impact on you, we will give you reasonable notice of those changes.
Optus Family Mobile Plan and Optus Family Mobile SIMs (month-to-month): You can change to an eligible plan once per payment cycle or cancel at any time. If you change your plan, any related device payment plans will remain in place and the payments will remain the same. You may lose existing add-ons if you change to a plan that is not eligible for these and you will not receive a pro rata refund. Max number of services per plan applies, as per your CIS document. If you suspend your primary Optus Family SIM you must suspend all associated Optus Family SIMs. If you cancel, port or move your primary Optus Family SIM to an ineligible plan, all associated Optus Family SIMs (and Optus Kids Plan plans, if any) will need to be changed or cancelled. If they are not changed or cancelled by you, they may be suspended and then cancelled by us. Associated Optus Family SIMs that are inactive for more than 6 months may be suspended and then cancelled by us. If your Optus Family Plan is cancelled, you will not receive a pro rata refund for the reminder of the payment cycle, unless otherwise provided in our standard agreement and subject to your consumer law rights. Any related device payment plans will all be cancelled and you’ll have to pay out any remaining payments owing as a one off payment with any device credits or discounts forfeited. You are responsible for all charges incurred on your account by any associated Optus Family SIM or Optus Kids Plan, including device charges. You will be automatically charged via card once per month for recurring charges and any add-ons. You must maintain your card payment details or your plan will be cancelled.
Optus Kids Mobile Plan (month-to-month): Available to customers with an eligible Optus mobile service on the same account. You can change to another eligible plan once per payment cycle or cancel your plan at any time. If you change your plan any related device payment plan will remain in place and your device payments will remain the same. You may lose your existing add-ons if you change to a plan that is not eligible for these and you will not receive a pro rata refund. You can have up to 4 plans per account. If you suspend or cancel your eligible Optus mobile service then you must suspend or change/cancel all linked Optus Kids Plans. If these Optus Kids Plans are not changed or cancelled by you when required, they may be suspended and then cancelled by us. If your eligible Optus mobile plan and/or Kids Plan is cancelled, you will not receive a pro rata refund for the reminder of the payment cycle, unless otherwise provided in our standard agreement and subject to your consumer law rights. Any related device payment plans will all be cancelled and you’ll have to pay out any remaining payments owing as a one off payment with any device credits or discounts forfeited. You will be automatically charged via card once per month for recurring charges and any add-ons. You must maintain your card payment details or your plan will be cancelled.
Family and Kids Device Payment Plans (Optus Pay): You can buy an eligible device on a device payment plan and pay for it over a selected term by monthly instalments (also referred to as OptusPay). You will need to remain on an eligible Optus plan for the term of your device payment plan. If you cancel your eligible plan or move to an ineligible plan, your related device payment plan will also be cancelled. If your device payment plan is cancelled, you’ll need to pay out any remaining device payments in full. Any applicable device credits or discounts will be forfeited. If you have an Optus Family Plan and/or Optus Kids Plan and the primary service is cancelled (by you or Optus) then all device payment plans related to the services will be cancelled and you will need to pay out the full remaining cost of all of the devices with any applicable device credits or discounts forfeited. This is subject to your consumer law rights. Limit of one device payment plan per eligible device. You will be automatically charged via card once per month for device payments. You must maintain your card payment details or your device payment plan will be cancelled.
McAfee Safe Family with Optus Offer: Approved customers who recontract or sign up to selected plans are eligible for a month to month subscription of McAfee Safe Family while they’re on the plan. You must activate your subscription within 6 months from opt-in to McAfee Safe Family via a unique URL that will be provided to you. If you cancel your selected Optus service or it is terminated by Optus, your right to access the subscription will end unless you move to another eligible Optus plan. McAfee Safe Family with Optus is an optional extra and does not form part of any Optus plan. There is a limit of one McAfee Safe Family subscription per account. Data charges apply.
Optus Sport: Personal viewing in Australia only. Content and features may change. Streaming quality dependent on your device, service provider and internet connection. No Excess Data Charges: If shared data allowance is exceeded, all shared data services on your account will be slowed to a maximum speed of 1.5Mbps (suitable for general internet browsing and music streaming, however some activities such as video streaming may see increased buffering and loading times). Usage while slowed is unmetered. Applies to data usage in Australia only.
Data add-ons: Available on selected mobile plans. Each add-on can be added once per 24 hrs, per service. You can access your Data Add-ons as soon as you request it. You may automatically be charged via card on activation of the add-on, if no payment is made you will still have access to the add-on and the amount will be added to your next monthly invoice. The inclusion of your Data Add-on is added to your shared data allowance on your account. Data is counted in KB increments and includes uploads and downloads. Any unused data is forfeited and cannot be rolled over to your next payment cycle. Usage alerts are sent at 50%/85%/100% of your shared data via SMS or email. Add-on expires if data used or at end of payment cycle (whichever is first). Data can only be used in Australia.
