The architecture base of Optus ELink+ is Carrier Ethernet, which is an MPLS networking technology.
E-Link+ and its burst variants have two basic customer selectable topologies – Point-to-Point (P2P) and Point-to-Multipoint (P2MP). Both topologies can be delivered with an NTU or direct fibre at either end.
P2P services are implemented as a Virtual Leased Line (VLL) connection on the MPLS network
P2MP services may be implemented either as VLL or Virtual Private LAN Service (VPLS)
