Introducing our hero, Daniel Ricciardo

It started with yes. As fast as a speeding bullet, our man and new Chief Optimism Officer Daniel Ricciardo is all smiles.

Say G’day to our newest recruit, one of Australia’s speediest fellas, the one, the only, Daniel Ricciardo (cheers from the crowd). When he’s not ripping around the racetrack track as Australia’s favourite F1 driver, he’ll be bringing his can-do “yes” optimism we all know and love to the not-so-tough job of Chief Optimism Officer, which will require the speedster to radiate inspiring positivity both  here at Optus and also to you guys at home.

Our Managing Director of Marketing and Revenue, Matt Williams, snapped him quickly, recognising Ricciardo’s unique and optimistic approach to his sport and life:

While it may seem that we’re fangirling a bit hard, Ricciardo was just as happy to work with our excited faces.

Our bright shining star, Ricciardo participated in our fun social campaign G’ day a day – AKA #GdayADay with the likes of good-old Thorpie and Mac Horton. Aimed at highlighting the positive effect picking up the phone and saying ‘hi’ has for mental health, we got to see the behind the scenes of Australia’s fastest (car driving) man.
