The wait for the Samsung GALAXY S III is finally over

Australia's obsession with smartphone devices is set to heat up as Optus confirms the highly-anticipated GALAXY S III will go on sale today on the Optus website from 11am and in stores across Australia from midday.

Renowned for leading the market with great value plans, Optus celebrated the launch by announcing all customers who purchase a GALAXY S III handset, on an Optus post-paid mobile plan from 31 May 2012 to 31 July 2012, will receive six Qantas Frequent Flyer points for every dollar spent on that plan for two yearsi.

In addition, eligible existing Optus post-paid mobile customers will have special access to a reduced handset price on selected plansii.

Optus customers can take full advantage of the GALAXY S III on a range of great value plans including the $60 Optus Plan which offers unlimited standard national SMSiii, unlimited Optus to Optus mobile calls, and unlimited mobile access to selected social networking sitesiv. Optus will also be rolling out usage alerts on selected mobile plans to help customers control their spend by alerting them when they're nearing their included value limit with an SMSv.
