Optus rocks with Rihanna during her 2011 Australian tour

Optus announced today it will be the presenting sponsor of Grammy Award winning superstar, Rihanna's 'Last Girl on Earth' tour, coming to Australia in February and March 2011. This multi-layered sponsorship includes exclusive ticket offers, mobile content and competitions for Optus customers and is supported by a hot new advertising campaign.

The advertising campaign will feature Rihanna as she 'lives life without limits' in outer space with the Optus Pre-Paid penguins. This campaign will launch with a television commercial on Sunday 15 August 2010 inviting you to "Rock like Rihanna with Optus Pre-Paid".

Austin R. Bryan, Marketing Director of Optus Consumer, said "Aligning our brand with the dynamic and talented Rihanna is sure to be a big hit with our customers - especially those in the Pre-Paid market.

"We have also ensured that our sponsorship of her tour incorporates special offers designed to reward our customers including first access to concert tickets, exclusive mobile content and hundreds of chances to win a double pass to one of her shows".

Optus customers will have exclusive access to purchase tickets to Rihanna's 'Last Girl on Earth' tour before the tickets go on sale to the general public via 'yes' Tickets1 for a four day period from noon, Monday 9 August to noon, Friday 13 August 2010. Existing Optus 'yes' Ticket customers can access tickets by logging onto www.yestickets.com.au or new subscribers can create an account by clicking 'Register Now'.

As part of Optus' Recharge and Always Win®2 promotion, Optus Pre-Paid mobile customers who recharge and successfully claim their instant prize on Always Win will automatically go into the draw to win one of 500 double passes to see Rihanna live in concert when they recharge between 15 August and 15 September 2010.
