Optus improves mobile coverage in Swan Reach
24 Mar 2004

Optus has significantly improved its mobile coverage in Swan Reach, following the installation of a new mobile tower in the town.

Harvey Marcus, State Manager, South Australia, said Optus was focused on enhancing and extending its mobile coverage in regional towns and along important roadways.

"Swan Reach is the latest town to benefit from Optus' GSM mobile network expansion.

"The objective of the new site in Swan Reach is to bring quality coverage - and a choice of GSM mobile network - to the township.

"We are confident people living, working and travelling in the town will now enjoy good signal levels, and we encourage locals to take advantage of our Coverage Satisfaction Guarantee," Mr Marcus said.

Optus has built more than 100 mobile sites in South Australia during the past four years - including Karoonda, Lameroo, and Pinnaroo - and has plans for further coverage expansion over the next two years.

Optus' GSM mobile network already provides coverage to 95% of the state's population.
