Optus improves mobile coverage in Kilmany
15 Jan 2004

Optus has significantly improved mobile coverage along the Princes Highway between Sale and Rosedale, bringing coverage to the Kilmany township and Sale Aerodrome, following the installation of a new mobile tower in Kilmany.

Rob Parcell, Director Victoria, said Optus was focused on enhancing and extending its mobile coverage in regional towns and along important roadways.

"The objective of the new site in Kilmany was to provide maximum coverage in the township and Sale Aerodrome, whilst enhancing our coverage along the Princes Highway between Sale and Rosedale.

"Optus has plans to build an additional five sites over the next few months in Morwell Central Business District, Traralgon South, Traralgon Central Business District, Churchill Township, and Newborough.

"We are confident mobile customers should now enjoy good signal levels in the area, which is why we are offering a 14 day Coverage Satisfaction Guarantee," Mr Parcell said.

Other recent improvements in the area include Stratford and Loch Sport.
