How We Manage Corporate Responsibility

Optus recognises that listening to stakeholders helps identify the key issues material to our business and is essential in guiding how we can manage corporate responsibility.

Through employee road-shows, staff newsletters and emails, we inform and engage our people about our corporate responsibility agenda.

The Optus Corporate Responsibility Steering Committee provides leadership and strategic input to our Corporate Responsibility Strategy and ensures it continues to be integrated across the business. This Group aims to meet twice a year and includes members of the Senior Leadership Team as well as key senior managers.

The priority areas for the committee include delivering leading customer experience, strong governance, engagement for employees, positive change in the community and minimisation of our environmental footprint.

Stakeholder Engagement

Our stakeholders are fundamental in guiding our approach to sustainability, managing risk and creating value for our business. We engage with a wide range of people and organisations on a regular basis including industry and consumer groups, government, employees, community organisations and customers.

Our business units engage with stakeholders based on current and emerging trends in our industry. Our approach is to be transparent in our communications and accountable for our actions.
