For more information on this plan, including charges for calls, messages and data, click here or view the Critical Information Summary.

On My Prepaid Daily Plus (starting at the $2 Daily Level), you automatically get unlimited MyTalk once you start using your phone (and trigger the first Daily Level).

MyMessages

MyMessages are used for standard SMS/ MMS to Australian mobiles while you're in Australia. You automatically get unlimited MyMessages once you start using your phone (and trigger the first Daily Level).

MyData is used for mobile data access while you're in Australia. Data is charged in kilobytes.

To add more MyData, just keep browsing and we’ll auto bump you to the next Daily Level (which comes with more MyData).  The Critical Information Summary for My Prepaid Daily Plus  includes info on how this works.

If you're having trouble connecting to the internet, you may have reached your daily data max - just text BAL to 9999 from your Optus Prepaid mobile to check.

  • If your Level is on $4 and MyData is 0MB, it means that you’ve reached your daily data max.  You can purchase extra data through the My Optus app or SMS  ‘MENU’ to 9999 (you'll need to restart your phone once you've done this)
  • If your Level is less than $4 and your MyCredit is $0, it means that your recharge has ran out. Just head to optus.com.au/recharge to recharge

From the 26 September 2016 until 2 April 2017, you can recharge in smaller amounts and still get the benefit of a longer expiry.  We are introducing a $10 recharge with a 186 day expiry. We have also extended the expiry date to 186 days for the $15 (voucher only recharge) and $20 recharge made between 26 September 2016 and 2 April 2017.

Need more Minutes?

MyCredit Rollover

Not using all of your MyCredit? Simply recharge before your credit expires and you can rollover your remaining MyCredit onto your new recharge. You can continue rolling over your unused MyCredit all the way up to a massive $500! If you recharge over $500, you will forfeit any MyCredit over that limit so check your balance before recharging. Your new combined MyCredit will expire based on your recharge amount.

Here's an example of how MyCredit rollover works:

So you've got $5 MyCredit leftover and your credit expires today. If you recharge today with $60, your $5 MyCredit will rollover and will be added to your new recharge which is $60. This new combined amount, $60 + $5 would expire in 365 days. You can simply continue to roll over any remaining MyCredit by recharging before the credit expiry.
