The free Yes TV by Fetch app is a convenient way to explore and control your Yes TV by Fetch service directly from your mobile phone or tablet.

Availability, cost & app requirements

The app will work on most devices running iOS version 8.0 (or later) and Android version 2.1 (or higher). Note. Not all functions are available on all devices. Download the user guide for a comprehensive list of compatible devices / operating systems.

It's available free from the Apple App Store and Google Play.


What can I do with the Yes TV by Fetch app?

To use the full functionality of the app, your mobile device must be wirelessly (using WiFi) connected to the same modem/ router that's providing the internet connection to your set top box. Once you've linked the app to your set top box, you can do the following:

  • Control your Yes TV by Fetch over your WiFi network with a full function remote control
  • Browse On-Demand movies and upcoming shows that are available on Yes TV by Fetch
  • Watch trailers available on Yes TV by Fetch directly on your mobile phone/ tablet
  • Browse your TV guide and schedule recordings remotely
  • Watch Movie Box and live Subscription TV on your mobile device
  • Manage your content directly from your mobile device and much more

If your WiFi is powered by an Optus Broadband connection then usage via the app will not count against your Broadband plan. If you're using another service provider's Broadband service then it's likely that using the app will count against your plan's usage. We recommend contacting your service provider to confirm.


Does the app also work over 3G/4G?

Yes. Provided you've already linked the app to your set top box, you can do the following:

  • Schedule & manage recordings
  • Watch Movie Box and live Subscription TV on your mobile device
  • Rent movies
  • Manage series tags
  • Download and watch trailers
  • View the TV guide
  • Browse and watch Movies & subscribed TV content available on Yes TV by Fetch

Note. If you use the app over 3G/4G and cellular data is used, it will count against your Mobile Phone or Mobile Broadband plan.


What can I play on my mobile device?

Watching Movie Box or Subscription TV on your mobile

You can watch Movie Box or Subscription TV on up to 2 mobiles or tablets at the same time. There's a limit of 3 registered mobile devices for watching Movie Box or live Subscription TV. However you're able to switch between registered playback devices - limited to 2 switches a month and 10 switches a year. 


Can I control purchases made through the Yes TV by Fetch app?

Yes, each purchase via the app;

  • Requires entry of the parental control PIN. Additional information on this feature is available here
  • Is itemised online alongside the name of the mobile device that purchased the content
  • You can view your purchase history and more by logging into your Yes TV by Fetch account

How do I setup the app to work with my set top box?

Using your Yes TV by Fetch remote control

  1. Press the 'Menu' button to go to the Main Menu.

  2. From the Main Menu use your remote control's navigation buttons go to 'Manage' then select 'Settings'

  3. In the 'Settings' screen on your TV, scroll to and select the 'Mobile & Tablet' tile using the navigation buttons

  4. Enter your 4 digit Parental control pin
  5. Navigate to and select the 'Connect' option
  6. A 6 digit app connection code will display on your TV. (The code must be entered into the app within 2 minutes)

On your smart phone/tablet

Ensure your device is connected to either WiFi (or 3G/4G)

  1. Install & launch the application on your Mobile device
  2. In the application: Tap 'Manage' then under 'Set Top Box' tap 'Connection'
  3. Enter the 6 digit app connection code displayed on your television into the appropriate fields on the app
  4. Read the licence agreement and click 'Accept' to proceed
  5. The application is now linked to your Yes TV by Fetch set top box
  6. Explore & Play!

Troubleshooting the app

If the application isn't working, try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Make sure you've setup and linked your app with your set top box using the steps above
  • Ensure your mobile device is connected to the same WiFi network as your Yes TV by Fetch set top box (for full app functionality)
  • Confirm that your internet connection / WiFi network is functioning correctly
  • Reboot your mobile device and your set top box and retry
  • Uninstall the app, reboot your mobile device, install the app, re-link and retry
  • Reboot your modem/router and retry

Linking not working?

  1. Reboot your set top box and your mobile device
  2. Go to the Yes TV by Fetch Main Menu > 'Manage' > 'Settings' > 'Mobile & Tablet'> Select 'Manage'
  3. Disconnect / Delete any previously saved Mobile device pairings/links
  4. Re-link the app and retry
