Got some questions about how the 'My Optus' app works? Check out these frequently asked questions:
Is it secure?
Yes. The 'My Optus' app uses best practice encryption methods when transmitting sensitive information. Any sensitive data is stored locally on your device, which is just 1 more good reason to ensure that you secure your device with a strong password/ PIN.
To check your usage/balance, tap on 'Usage' tab. You'll see a donut chart showing the days elasped in the current cycle (the lighter outside circle) against the usage for the month (the darker inner circle) as below:

To obtain an international travel pack, tap on the Menu icon, 'International Roaming' and then "Check Optus Travel Pack"
To take advantage of Optus rewards like discount movie tickets, tap on the 'Perks' tab
To manage and control your data usage, tap on the 'Usage' tab, then tap on the 'Data Insights' button to view how and when your data was used
To get full control of your privacy and security, tap on the Menu icon, 'Settings' then select 'Use PIN lock' to set up a PIN
To activate or de-activate any of our Entertainment extras, such as Mobile TV, Music, Optus Sport directly via the app, tap on the Entertainment tab. From here you'll see the status of our range of additional features, as well as links to the Google Play store and Apple App store for our streaming partner apps such as Netflix & Spotify.
My device is not compatible with the app. What are my options?
At this stage, if your phone's running on other mobile operating systems that are not supported (i.e. Windows Phone OS), we've still got an option or 2 for you!

We're constantly enhancing our mobile website to bring app like functionality to other devices. Simply visit our mobile website at optus.com.au on your device's browser to check your usage, add / remove international roaming, pay your bill or recharge your Prepaid service.
Optus SMS Menu - For any mobile handset that can send text
