How to Add, Change or Remove Prepaid Auto-Recharge

Optus Auto-Recharge (OAR) is an online service that will enable you to register your credit card and set up automated recharges for your Prepaid service. To use Auto-Recharge you'll need a valid credit or debit Card.

Note. If your current Prepaid Mobile Phone plan has a 60 day or longer expiry period (e.g. Crew Cap or Long Expiry Cap), the use of Auto-Recharge is not recommended.

Setting Up Auto-Recharge

Get Auto-Recharge set up by following these steps:

  1. Go to www.optus.com.au/recharge

  2. Enter your Prepaid service number

  3. In the Setup Auto-Recharge section, select 'Next'

  4. Select the Auto-Recharge amount, click 'Select' and then click 'Next'

  5. Enter your credit card details

  6. Read the Terms & Conditions and click the three checkboxes

  7. Follow the onscreen instructions

  8. The first recharge will be processed immediately and a set up email will be sent to the nominated email address

  9. Click on the link in the set up email to confirm the Auto-Recharge request. Auto-Recharge will not be processed until this step is completed

You'll receive email notification 48 hours before every Auto-Recharge payment is taken

Cancelling Auto-Recharge

It's very simple!

Find your most recent Auto-Recharge email receipt

  1. Click on the cancellation button at the bottom of the Auto-Recharge email

  2. Follow the onscreen prompts

The cancellation will happen instantly and you'll receive a confirmation email to confirm your Auto-Recharge has been cancelled.
