Mobile Device / Handset SIM & Security PIN

Your phone PIN is a number between four and eight digits, which allows you to access your SIM card. It is an extra level of security for your phone.

If the phone PIN is entered 3 times incorrectly your phone will ask you to enter your PUK (Personal Unlocking Key).

Does my new SIM card already have a PIN?

Yes, the default PIN number for a SIM Card is 0000. Where your device allows, we recommend this PIN is changed at the first opportunity.

How do I change my PIN?

In most cases you will have an option to change your PIN via the security settings option on your handset. Instructions for selected handsets can be found at Mobile Handset Help or refer to Manufacturer Contacts for additional user guides and on-line support.
