Updating your Android device

  1. From your Home screen: Tap the 'Menu' button
  2. Select 'Settings'
  3. Towards the bottom of the 'Settings' menu: Select 'About phone'
  4. Tap 'System Update'
  5. Tap 'Check Now'
  6. If an update is available for your device, download and install it by following the prompts

After updating your device we recommend performing a factory reset using the steps below.


Factory reset your Android device

A factory reset will delete all of your third party apps, contacts, settings, photos and media. Before you reset your device, ensure that you sync and back up your data with your device's companion software (eg. Kies, HTC Sync Manager, etc)

  1. From the Home screen: Tap the 'Menu' button
  2. Select 'Settings'
  3. Select 'Backup & Reset'
  4. Select 'Factory data reset'

Please note: Your device may become unresponsive for a few minutes while it returns to factory settings.
