How to Report Hazardous or Damaged Optus Equipment
There are two ways to report hazardous or damaged cabling and/or other Optus infrastructure. For details check out the topics below.
Please note: You don't have to be an Optus customer to report an issue to us. Customers/property owners must not tamper with and/or remove any Optus equipment or related cabling, as there is a risk the equipment or cabling may have live power running through it.
Optus equipment that has become dangerous (a threat to public safety)
If you are concerned that our equipment may have become hazardous or poses a threat to your safety, or the public or to the property:
- Ensure you keep well clear of the danger. Never touch any equipment that you believe to be hazardous
- You can report the issue using our online form - Report Damage or Hazard with the Optus Network
- Should you be unable to log the issue using the form, immediately call our Hotline on 1800 505 777. We're open 24 hours/7 days a week
- Our team will ask you some quick questions, assess the danger, and then if appropriate dispatch technicians to the site immediately
Optus equipment that is damaged, but not dangerous
If our equipment is damaged, but does not appear to be any danger to yourself, the general public or to property, please report the problem to us via our Hotline on 1800 505 777. We're open 24 hours/7 days a week.
