Understanding Your Plan & Critical Information Summaries

If you're looking for detailed information about your existing plan, all you need to do is check out its Critical Information Summary (CIS). You can find this in My Account and Online.

Having trouble entering your date of birth when retrieving your summary?

So that we can validate and match your date of birth, it needs to be entered in DD-MM-YYYY  formateg. If your birthday is October 2nd, 1985. You'd need to enter 02-10-1985

Alternatively, you can follow the steps below.


WHICH PLAN / CIS IS MINE?

If you're not sure what your plan is called, you can get this info and other quick summaries using these options.

HOW TO GET YOUR PLAN NAME / QUICK SUMMARY OF YOUR MOBILE PLAN / OFFER?

  • Use the My Optus App. Just tap the usage bars to find out what's included in your plan.
  • Use Optus SMS Menu. Simply text the word Menu to 9999 (it's free to use in Australia) and reply with the appropriate number to retrieve your rate plan info!

HOW TO GET YOUR PLAN NAME / CIS USING MY ACCOUNT (ALL SERVICES)

Select your plan from the list below:

View your CIS: My Plan / My Plan Plus / Cap Plan

  1. Log in with your My Account username, not your phone number
  2. Follow steps A & B as shown in the image below

  1. Select the service you want to view and follow steps A & B as shown in the image below. In the 'Plan Info' tab, your contract end date and further plan details will be displayed. A CIS download link will show in a location similar to the example below

View your CIS: All Other Plans

  1. Log in with your My Account username, not your phone number
  2. Follow steps A & B as shown in the image below

  1. Select the service you want to view, then click the 'Service Summary' tab to see its contract end date and further plan details

  1. Your plan details and a CIS download link will show in locations similar to the example below

How to get your plan info / plan ID from your bill (All services)

Find the Plan ID number in the 'Your Service' section of your Optus Bill. Then just simply search for the Critical Information Summary using the Plan ID number.
