Using your Mobile service: via a Call, SMS or the My Optus App

These options are available 24/7 and are free to use within Australia. The Prepaid SMS option is also free when roaming overseas!

  • Call: Dial 555 from your handset and select option 1 -  Prepaid Mobile Phone only
  • SMS: Use Optus SMS Menu - Text 'bal' (without the quotations) to 9999 - Prepaid Mobile Phone only
  • My Optus app: Download the My Optus app for Android or iOS by selecting one of the options below:

Using the internet: via My Account

To check your Prepaid balance, expiry date and what you've got left to use, log into My Account.
