How to Pay Your Bill

There are loads of ways to pay your bill at Optus; depending on your preference, click on an option below:

Online: Credit / Debit Card

If you know your Customer Account Number and the amount owing, you can click this button to pay your Optus bill by MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners card.  Payments can also be made online in My Account via the 'Pay Now' button under Billing & Payments > View bill.

Phone: Credit Card

Call our self-service line 1300 309 309 and pay using your MasterCard, Visa, American Express or Diners card.  Local call charges apply. 

If you're on a monthly-billed phone plan then you can also make a MasterCard, Visa or American Express payment by dialing 1509 from your mobile.

My Optus app: Credit / Debit Card

Pay your bill by card using the My Optus app.

B-Pay: Savings

There has been a recent change to our bill payment methods.  From 1 July 2016, we now only accept BPAY payments using a savings account.

You may need to contact your bank to enable B-Pay. B-Pay is available with all Optus bills except Dial-Up Internet.

You'll need the biller code and customer reference number. They are on the payment slip on the lower half of the first page of your Optus bill and also shown below.

  • Your B-Pay reference number is the same as your bill's account number
  • Biller codes used by Optus are shown below. For the correct biller code, select the image that best matches the look of your bill

Direct Debit: Savings, Credit, Cheque or Debit Accounts

You can nominate a savings, cheque or credit card account to automatically have the total amount due (including any amount in arrears) deducted on the bill's due date or within the 4 days that follow.

In Person: Cash, EFTPOS, Cheque, Money Order, Credit Card

Australia Post Billpay

Present your payment slip and pay via cash, EFTPOS, cheque or money order at any post office. There is a $1.75 fee for Optus bill payments made at Australia Post, payments made at Australia Post will be visible on the account within 48 hours.

Please note that we are not able to accept cheque or money order payments by mail.

Credit Card Payment Fee

Payments made via credit, debit or charge cards incur a 0.385% (inc GST) payment processing fee. The fee will appear on the next account after the bill is paid. For a fee free alternative - you can set up Direct Debit today.
