What is Yes TV by Fetch Mini?

A small set top box allowing customers to watch streamed content (including Free to Air) on a wide screen TV. The Mini features most of the same great content as the Mighty set-top box, but it does not include a record function.

What do I need to get Yes TV by Fetch Mini?

You will need the following:

  • An Optus home broadband plan or postpaid mobile service on a $30 or above plan
  • An active fixed broadband Internet connection with a download speed of at least 3Mbps
  • A widescreen TV
  • An external digital antenna connection for free-to-air TV

How many Fetch Mini devices can I get?

You can have up to three Minis per eligible Optus service when you have an Optus home broadband sevice.

How will the Yes TV by Optus Mini service be activated?

The device will be sent with a new Quick Start Guide. Please follow the Quick Start Guide as a technician will not be required.

How much will it cost?

Yes TV by Fetch Mini is charged at $10 per month. The subscription is month-to-month with no lock-in contract.

What do I get with it?

Free-to-air catch-up TV and 30 pre-selected ‘Movie Box’ movies per month. Access to Netflix and Stan on TV, but you will require a subscription to these services. The ability to browse/purchase content from the ‘Movie Store’ and ‘TV Store’.

Will the data usage count towards my internet allowance?

If you link your service to an Optus DSL, Optus NBN Fixed Broadband, Optus Cable Broadband, Optus RDSL Broadband, Optus Fusion, Optus 'yes' Business Fusion or Optus Business Broadband account:

data usage generated by the downloading of content via Free-To-Air Catch Up services will not be zero-rated and will be charged against your data usage on that account, and you may incur data usage charges depending upon your Optus plan;

data usage generated by downloads and uploads associated with other service features will not be zero-rated, and will be charged against your data usage on that account, and you may incur data usage charges depending upon your Optus plan; and

data usage generated by the purchase and/or download of other content via the service or via Netflix or Stan will be zero-rated and will not appear as part of your data usage on that account;

If you link your service to another Internet Service Provider:

all data usage associated with the service including the purchase and/or download of content will be rated and included as part of your data usage for your broadband service; and

You may incur normal download charges and/or excess usage charges depending on your broadband plan.

What happens if I cancel or suspend my mobile or home broadband account?

If the home broadband or mobile account is cancelled or suspended then the Yes TV by Fetch Mini service will also be cancelled or suspended. This will mean you will also lose access to any TV Store or Movie Store content you have purchased.

What if I cancel my Yes TV by Fetch Mini service?

There are no cancellations fees for the Yes TV by Fetch Mini subscription. If you cancel the service and do not return the device within the allocated time you will be charged $150 for the device.

Can I use my mobile data to watch content on my Yes TV by Fetch Mini?

No. You can’t tether the Yes TV by Fetch Mini to your mobile device to use mobile data.

Can I get premium channel packs like Optus Sport and the Ultimate pack on Yes TV by Fetch Mini?

Yes. You can purchase additional channel packs such as Optus Sport, Premium Channel Packs, Ultimate Pack and World Channel Packs for a monthly fee. You can add and remove these channel packs anytime you want.

Can I record, pause and rewind live TV?

You cannot record. You can pause and rewind but this function is limited to about 20 minutes SD TV before the RAM is filled up.


YES TV BY FETCH MOBI APP

Can existing Optus mobile customers get the offer?

Only new and recontracting mobile customers on 24 month handset plan can get the Yes TV by Fetch Mobi app, which must be selected at point of sale online. Existing Optus mobile customers can get the Yes TV by Fetch companion app included with a Fetch Mini-set top box.

Can a customer get the Yes TV by Fetch Mobi app on SIM only plans, Mobile broadband or Prepaid?

No, customers can only subscribe to the Mobi app on a selected post-paid handset 24 month plan and it’s not available on BYO plans. Once they subscribe to the Mobi app, customers can register the app on up to 3 devices. Prepaid is not eligible for the Yes TV by Fetch Mobi app service.


YES TV BY FETCH MIGHTY

How can I get the Yes TV by Fetch Mighty set-top box?

Yes TV by Fetch Mighty is available as part of our $80 Plan (available on Optus DSL Direct, Cable & NBN) or $120 Reach Plan (available on Optus DSL). You can also add it to your existing eligible home broadband plan.

Is Yes TV by Fetch Mighty available on all Optus broadband networks?

Yes TV by Fetch Mighty is available on all Optus fixed broadband networks (not Optus home wireless broadband or mobile broadband) as part of the home broadband plans mentioned above.

Can I upgrade to the Yes TV by Fetch Mighty set-top box from my existing set-top box?

You can upgrade to the Mighty if you re-contract to the $80 Plan or $120 Reach Plan. If you do, you have to return the first or second generation set-top box you currently have to Optus.

You can also upgrade without recontracting by paying a $129 fee.

Do I need a power line adapter device (PLA) for the Mighty?

The Mighty set-top box is WiFi-enabled, so you don’t need to get a PLA.

However, download speeds and WiFi performance in your home can be affected by your equipment and LAN performance, settings, hardware, software, internet activity, the location of the content you’re accessing and network congestion.

A WiFi connection may not be as fast or reliable as a wired device, and in some instances PLA devices may be required instead of WiFi to effectively deliver the service. Please note the Yes TV by Fetch Mighty pack we send you doesn’t include any PLA.

Yes TV by Fetch eligibility & equipment: You need an Optus postpaid mobile or fixed broadband account (on selected plans, not available with the $60 plan), an active fixed broadband internet connection and a download speed of at least 3Mbps, and access to free to air digital television services.

Download speeds and WiFi performance in your home can be affected by your equipment and LAN performance, settings, hardware, software, internet activity, the location of the content you’re accessing and network congestion.

A WiFi connection may not be as fast or reliable as a wired device, and in some instances PLA devices may be required instead of WiFi to effectively deliver the service.

Yes TV by Fetch set top box: Optus owns the set top box, and you must return it following cancellation of the service. Fees apply for late return or damage to the set top box. You may only use the recording functionality of the service for viewing programmes at your nominated home address at a more convenient time.

Yes TV by Fetch Multiroom: services available to new or existing Fixed broadband customers on selected plans (not available with the $60 plan) in selected homes only. Yes TV by Fetch requires an active fixed Internet connection and download speed of at least 3Mbps and external TV antenna connection. Data charges apply from Internet service provider. Maximum three devices per household. Content subscription required. Video content quality can be affected by equipment content location, network congestion.

Yes TV by Fetch Mini: Data charges will apply from your internet service provider if you’re not using Optus fixed broadband. Any purchased content such as Movie and TV store content will be charged to the Optus fixed broadband or postpaid mobile bill that is associated with the Yes TV by Fetch Mini subscription. Yes TV by Fetch Mini cannot tether data from a mobile device which means you cannot use your mobile data to watch content from the Yes TV by Fetch Mini. Yes TV by Fetch mini cannot be used for any commercial business purposes.

Yes TV by Fetch Mobi app: Fair Go Policy applies. The Optus 4G Plus network is available in all capital cities and hundreds of metro, regional and holiday towns with a compatible device and plan. Coverage varies by device. Check at optus.com.au/coverage.

Yes TV by Fetch Mobi app only available for use within Australia to selected new and recontracting Optus mobile customers (purchased via online only). Mobile and Home Broadband data charges will apply unless you are subscribed to Mobile TV streaming package or have an Optus Home Broadband Unlimited Data plan. You must subscribe to a Yes TV by Fetch Ultimate pack to access content. Available to download on compatible smartphones and tablets with an eligible operating system (not available via PC & Mac). Streaming of live cricket matches played in Australia (the live season has now concluded) and content is available via Optus Sport app.

Subscription to TV packs and Channel packs are for a minimum of one calendar month and will be renewed on a month-to-month basis until cancelled. You will be charged a monthly access fee for as long as your subscription is in place.

Data usage: If you connect your Yes TV by Fetch set-top box to an Optus Home Broadband service, data usage generated by Netflix, Stan, purchase and/or download of content will be zero-rated.

Other data usage such as downloads and uploads associated with software updates, applications, games or the downloading of content via Free-To-Air catch up services and YouTube will not be zero-rated. This may result in your broadband service being throttled if you are very close to your data limit.

If you connect your Yes TV by Fetch set-top box to any other broadband service apart from an Optus fixed broadband service, all data usage will be charged and those charges will depend on your broadband service provider and plan.

Buying TV and Movie content provides you with a non-transferable right to use the content, provided you maintain your Yes TV by Fetch service. If you cancel your Yes TV by Fetch service you will lose any purchased content.
