New Charlize Theron Film ‘Tully’ has a Great Cast

Based on recent performances you’d be forgiven for thinking a film starring Charlize Theron and MacKenzie Davis was going to be a stylish action flick.

And while we’re not opposed to seeing both these ladies kick butt on the silver screen it’s refreshing Jason Reitman’s latest effort takes on a little more thoughtful subject matter, kicking butt at parenting.

Theron is Marlo, a single mother of three struggling to keep it together until she is gifted a night nanny, Tully (Mackenzie Davis). Initially hesitant at accepting help from a stranger, Marlo comes to form a unique bond with the thoughtful, surprising and sometimes challenging young nanny.

The film reunites Reitman with writer Diablo Cody, who wrote the screenplay for the Reitman-directed Juno, and also stars the fantastic Mark Duplass (Blue Jay, Safety Not Guaranteed) and Ron Livingston (Office Space). With such a great cast and the potential of another film as quirky and heartfelt and Juno, we could have a winner on our hands come May 10. Watch the trailer below.
