Celebrities – they’re just like you and me! Except more good-looking, more talented, and much richer. Well, they’re human too and must have their off days, right? But being a celebrity can be a double-edged sword. Being under the microscope so much means that their every move is analysed and reported on, and one little frown caught by the paparazzi means they’re labeled as a jerk.

These celebrities have a rep for being some of the nicest people in Hollywood, from their interactions with their fans to the way they treat they people around them – one of them has even saved someone from getting run over!

Tom Hanks

Tom Hanks is like the film world’s dad. He’s kind and funny and does dad things like post photos of lost hats, gloves and shoes on Instagram and signing every post with “Hanx”.

He also does things like send fans type-written letters with Polaroids of himself and invite his cab drivers to his Broadway shows.

Tom Hanks is also a political activist and has been awarded an American Presidential Medal of Freedom for his cultural contributions and his charitable work.

Taylor Swift is getting a bit of reputation drama nowadays, and while not entirely undeserved, no one can beat how nice she is to her fans. Her acts of kindness range from showing up at a fan’s house to give her son some gifts to inviting a bunch of fans over to her apartment to hang.

She also shows up at things like bridal showers and has sent fans money to pay off student loans. Life’s pretty good as a Swiftie.

Emma Watson shot to fame as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter saga and has continued to bring magic to fans’ lives. She’s a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador who advocates for gender equality and campaigns for education for women all over the world. She also started a feminist book club and leaves fans books in public locations.

Ryan Gosling seems to be taking a cue from the romantic leads he plays in movies. He has reportedly saved someone from getting run over by traffic in New York.

He’s also been caught on camera breaking up a fight between two men in the same city, all while out and about running errands.

Looks like he’s one celebrity who’s unafraid to step up when he’s needed.

Tom Hiddleston

Tom Hiddleston also has a reputation for being a gentleman. He and Marvel co-actor Chris Hemsworth delighted fans at Brisbane’s Lady Cilento Children’s Hospital for a visit in 2016, surprising patients while filming Thor: Ragnarok on the Gold Coast.

He is also especially nice to reporters on the red carpet, lending one his jacket when she was cold and bringing another warm tomato soup.
