Ready for a trip down memory lane? It’s hard to believe these bangers turn 10 in 2018 – it seems like only yesterday our teen selves were blasting these at top volume. Give them a listen and relive those awkward high school dances and late-night car rides. We bet you still remember all the lyrics.

Low – Flo Rida feat. T-Pain

This song had us questioning what an apple-bottom was and whether we had one. Good times. Play it now and you’ll still have everybody on the dance floor seeing who can get the lowest.

Love in This Club – Usher feat Young Jeezy

Everything in this video is delightful, from the Sony Ericsson flip phone to the synchronised dance moves. We reckon this made it into every make out mix CD we ever made.

American Boy – Estelle feat Kanye West

When it came time to hit the dance floor at the formal, this was definitely the most requested tune. And what a banger! Dancing to this was just a fun time.

Sex on Fire – Kings of Leon

This went straight to number one, most likely because it felt like we were being so badass yelling out “Your sex is on fire” during the chorus.

I’m Yours – Jason Mraz

This feel-good ditty held a record for most weeks on the Billboard charts, and probably another record as the song for couples in our high school.

Love Story – Taylor Swift

Listening to this in 2008, you felt for Romeo and Juliet’s teenaged love. Listening to this in 2018, you thought Juliet’s dad was crazy for letting them marry so young.

Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It) – Beyoncè

Remember when Queen Bey was also known Sasha Fierce and wore like a metal gauntlet everywhere? And Kanye was like, “Imma let you finish…”? That’s how long ago this was. This song has only gotten more and more popular through the years – it’s a staple at every ladies’ night.

Miss Independent – Ne-Yo

Seeing Ne-Yo in a fedora was enough to spark a trend. His outfit here is probably what all the boys were trying to emulate for every school formal. Just remember Ne-Yo – fashion fades but style is eternal.

Whatever You Like – T.I.

Another club banger here – the most vivid memory just involved you and your friends singing “You can have whatever you like!” at the top of your lungs. The only memory you need of it tbh.

I Kissed a Girl – Katy Perry

Katy’s breakout single featuring the cheeky lyrics sparked some controversy that was enough to catapult her to the top of the charts. You couldn’t go anywhere without hearing this song – she kissed a girl and we liked it.
