So I don't have to choose my Vividwireless plan now?
That’s right. All you need to do at this stage is confirm a service that will work at your address and then buy a modem. Once you get home and plug it in, you choose your plan and enter your payment details. Then you’re connected to the internet!
What is the speed of the service?
The maximum speed available depends on many factors as the wireless network is shared with Optus mobile customers. In areas where we have 2300 MHz spectrum we have a lot of network capacity and offer speeds of up to 12/1Mbps (download/upload). In other compatible areas we offer speeds of up to 5/1Mbps (as we have less capacity on the network).
Can I use a modem I already have?
You will need to use the new WiFi modem for these plans to access this service.
I already have Optus Home Wireless Broadband - can I move to the new plans?
Yes, you can move to the new Vividwireless plans by calling Optus, but you will need to purchase a new modem as your current modem won’t work for the Vividwireless service. They will cancel your existing contract and waive any cancellation fees, but you must pay any outstanding modem fees. Vividwireless modems can be purchased on the Optus website and through other Optus channels, or through Harvey Norman and The Good Guys, or at vividwireless.com.au.
Do I get Optus Perks discounts if I have a Vividwireless plan?
No. Optus Perks are only available to Optus customers.
