With compatible 3G single band devices, customers can access all the same great 3G services as on the 3G dual band network. Although 3G services are not available in as many locations when compared with using a 3G dual band device, the 3G coverage area still extends to as much as 80% of the Australian population. The 3G single band network operates in Metropolitan and also in Major Regional centers.
If you do happen to move outside 3G single band areas, your device will seamlessly access 2G/GPRS services to send and receive calls and texts and access some data applications at slower than 3G speeds (when in 2G/GPRS areas of the Open Network).
For compatible 3G single band devices, see available personal mobile and business mobile or personal wireless broadband and business wireless broadband.
