1. Optus Internet Security Suite: To get the free offer, eligible Optus Broadband customers must subscribe to Security Suite by 30 September 2008. A $7 monthly fee may apply should you wish to continue the subscription from 1 April 2009. Security software utilises customers’ data allowances for installation and updates. Software requires existing security packages to be uninstalled. Must meet PC-Compatible system requirements.
2. $30 online sign up bonus available to new residential Optus Broadband customers who sign up online. Applied as a credit to your broadband bill in the first 3 months.

Minimum total cost over 24 months for
Optus Broadband ($29.99 plan, $0 modem, $0 connection, $9.95 modem delivery fee
and payment by direct debit with: Optus Home Phone ($19.95 plan) is $1208.51;
or with Optus Mobile (‘yes’ 19 plan) is $1185.71; Call costs additional. All
accounts must be in same name and address to be eligible for bundle rewards.
Optus reserves the right to quote for non-standard installations.
Non-Direct Debit Fee: A $2.20 (inc GST) per month fee may apply if account is not paid by direct debit.
Paper Invoice Fee: A $1.10 (inc GST) fee will apply if you choose to receive a paper bill posted to you. To avoid this fee you may change to an electronic bill sent to you by email by enrolling at optus.com.au/myoptusaccount. Electronic bills will be phased in over time and may not be available to you immediately. If electronic billing is not available to you, we won’t charge you the fee. Optus will write to you to advise you of the availability of electronic billing and before any fee is charged.
Credit Card Fee: If you use a credit, charge or debit card to pay your bill, a 1.0% fee (inc GST) will be charged. This payment processing fee will be shown on your next Optus bill after the payment has been processed. Exemptions may apply.
Australia Post: If you pay your account at an Australia Post outlet, you will be charged an account processing fee of $0.55 (inc GST).
Serviceability: For technical and commercial reasons not all homes can receive Optus services. Optus services are not available in all areas or in NT and TAS. Optus Cable Broadband is only available to selected homes in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. A $300 pro rata cancellation fee applies if you cancel your broadband service before your initial Agreement Period ends. Optus DSL Direct Broadband is only available with the Optus Local Direct Service.
Some customers on the Optus cable network will be supplied with equipment which requires mains and power back up. Please let us know if you are a customer with a serious illness or life threatening condition, if you require disability services, if you have a back to base alarm system or if you require an uninterrupted telephone line. This equipment will remain the property of Optus and may be rented by you.
*Displayed speed is based on Optus network testing. Not applicable if your service has been speed limited. Speeds of up to 20Mbps are available in selected areas. Actual speeds will vary and may be slower. Many factors affect speeds such as, Internet traffic, your hardware and software, the source of your download, and your location. Not applicable if your service has been speed limited.
°Data usage will be counted in Megabytes (MB) and includes both uploads and downloads. If you exceed your monthly data allowance, access will be speed limited to 64 or 128kbps depending on your plan until the end of the billing month.
Wireless modem: Only the $99/30GB plan includes a WiFi modem. If there are obstacles between the wireless modem and your computer, the signal may either be absorbed or reflected hence the coverage will be decreased; other products operating in the 2.4GHz radio spectrum, including microwave ovens and some cordless phones may cause interference.
