Deaf Services Queensland
Collaborating to develop SIGNIQ app for self-learning AUSLAN.
After Deaf Services Queensland (DSQ) was announced as a runner-up in the Optus Apps Challenge, Optus took on a collaborative approach to this process and engaged Philology who is an Optus mobility partner, to jointly develop an application around the self-learning of the AUSLAN (Australian sign language). The result for DSQ is that they were able to take their idea and have it developed through technical expertise which resulted in the SIGNIQ app. This is available for download from iTunes and the app provides an interactive and fun way to learn AUSLAN to better communicate with the deaf community.
