South West TAFE is the largest and most reputable provider of skills training in south-west Victoria, responsible for almost 5,000 students offering 150 programs. Founded in the early 1800’s, South West TAFE has grown to offer industry-recognised and quality training programs across four campuses – Warrnambool, Hamilton, Colac and Portland – in a catchment area spanning 25,000 square kilometres.

With Australia’s growing demand to equip students with the digital skills needed for the workplace of the future – and subsequently the country’s economic prosperity – the technical and further education institution revolutionised its traditional classroom environments to deliver intelligent blended and tailored learning environments, on and off campus.


The issues presented to Optus Business included:

  1. The need to have simple and functional technology focused equally on teachers and students to support the institution’s change management program in building the instructional confidence of its staff
