  • How do I know if I can get Optus NBN at my premises?

    Simply select any of the plans, call us and we'll help you check availability at your place of business.

  • Do I need permission from my landlord to install NBN?

    If you are renting a premises, you can still get Optus NBN. First, you'll need to ask the landlord if it's okay, and find out if they want it installed in a specific spot or room. The landlord may want to be on site when the technicians come out, or reachable by telephone. Be sure to let the owner know the days and times the technicians will be visiting.

  • What speed can I expect with the NBN?

    All our Unlimited NBN plans start at a line speed to the premises of up to 25/5Mbps as per NBN Co. Speed Tier 2, our other NBN plans start at a line speed to the premises of up to 12/1Mbps as per NBN Co. Speed Tier 1 You can buy additional speed packs if you need it a bit faster.   • What's the NBN installation process?

    First, we'll arrange an appointment for an NBN Co. technician to come to your place to connect you to the NBN infrastructure, either via fibre-optic cable or fixed wireless. After the technician has activated your connection, follow the installation guide provided with your modem to get online. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee connection until we successfully install your service.

  • Will I get NBN Fibre or NBN Fixed Wireless?

    The technology you get depends on where your business is based. We'll help you check your serviceability before you buy a plan.

  • What's the difference between NBN Fibre and NBN Fixed Wireless?

    NBN Fibre and NBN Fixed Wireless reach your address in different ways. NBN Fibre is connected directly to your premises using a fibre-optic cable. NBN Fixed Wireless is transmitted wirelessly to an antenna installed on the roof of the building.

  • What happens if I use all my monthly data? Will I be charged more?

    No, you won't be charged any extra if you go over your monthly data allowance; we'll simply limit your connection speed to 256kbps until your next billing month starts. Plus you can always go for a double data month, you get two free a year.

  • What are double data months?

    If you happen to have a big month online from time to time, you'll be able to top up your data for the rest of the billing month at no extra cost, twice per year, every year. Additional top-ups will cost $20 each.

Speed: Internet speeds indicated are maximum theoretical speeds only. This doesn't mean that you will experience the maximum speeds at all times, in fact you will typically experience slower speeds due to a number of factors including demand on the Network and local conditions such as internet traffic, your line condition, your hardware and software, the data source or destination and your location that prevent or interfere with reception and speed.
