Technical overview

Optus Mobile Device Management software can be installed onto either a physical or virtual appliance that plugs into your corporate network. Optus will arrange the installation and setup the servers for your organisation, and provide ongoing support including system administrator training and maintenance services on the software (such as software updates and upgrades). The minimum contract term is 24 months regardless of the number of licenses. After this time you may pay month to month or re-sign a contract for another minimum contract term of 24 months.

For your end users implementing MDM is easy – the installation is activated by a hyperlink within an SMS (Short Message Service).

You manage the MDM service yourself and increase the number of licence subscriptions via the software administration interface provided as well as using the functionality available to you to define your own policy settings. Or if you take up the Managed Service option Optus will manage it all for you.
