Optus has been proud to sponsor the Carlton Football Club since 1993. From 1993 to 2005 Optus held the naming rights of the Carlton Football Club's home ground known as Optus Oval or "Optus" to the fans.
Today Optus proudly supports Carlton Football Club as a Premier Partner and as the Official Telecommunications Partner.

Carlton has a great AFL history. Since it was formed in 1864, the Club has won a record 16 AFL Premierships, equalling only Essendon as a team that has won more Premiership titles than any other club in the competition. It won its record breaking 16th AFL Premiership in 1995 and appeared in the 1999 Grand Finals and two consecutive finals campaigns in the following seasons.
