As the Managing Director of Optus Business, John Paitaridis leads Optus’ enterprise, corporate and government business. He is accountable for all aspects of sales, marketing, products, operations and service delivery, including responsibility for Optus’ wholly-owned subsidiary Alphawest and its Uecomm business.

Optus Business is part of the SingTel Group’s ICT division. Formed in April 2012, Group ICT brings together all enterprise-related business units and will focus on providing ICT solutions to serve the Group’s enterprise customers, offering innovative and comprehensive IT and telecommunications solutions across multiple geographies.

John joined Optus Business in January 2012, bringing 20 years’ industry experience with a deep understanding of the telecommunications and ICT needs of enterprise and government customers. Previously, he was an Executive Director at Telstra responsible for Network Products and Services in the enterprise and government space.

A seasoned senior executive, John has a strong track record of driving growth in sales, revenue and profitability as well as building high performance teams and culture.

John also has extensive experience working in international markets across Europe, Asia and Australia. He spent five years in Asia as Telstra’s Regional Director where he was responsible for regional growth strategy and retail operations across Asia. John was also Telstra’s head of Sales and Marketing in Europe for three years based in the United Kingdom.

John holds a Bachelor of Economics degree and is a graduate member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
