Ben White joined Optus in October 2006 with an exceptional base of skills and knowledge from over 10 years of strategic leadership.

Mr White is charged with managing Optus' overall strategy as well as major business development opportunities including mergers, acquisitions and key strategic partnerships. His work includes leading the development of Optus’ plans to contribute to and capitalise on the emerging Australian digital economy.

Most recently, Mr White has led Optus’ work related to the National Broadband Network, including leading Optus’ response to the Federal Government’s Request for Proposals on the NBN.

Prior to joining Optus, Mr White was a Senior Manager of Bain & Company, a global strategic management consulting firm, where he led engagements across a wide variety of industries in many parts of the world, including many years based in North America and Europe.

Mr White graduated with an Honours Degree in Electrical Engineering from Sydney University.
