Resilient and extensive
Optus has invested more than $10 billion in the construction of fixed, mobile and satellite networks - $600 million alone in the new D Series satellites. Through this investment, we have created an extensive satellite network that covers Australia and New Zealand, and through our parent company SingTel, reaches into Asia and beyond.
We currently own and operate four satellites: Optus B3, C1, D1 and D2, with D3 scheduled to be launched soon. Their footprints cover Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Hawaii, Norfolk Island, Papua New Guinea, Lord Howe Island, Cocos Island, Christmas Island and McMurdo Sound. With the added satellite reach of SingTel, coverage extends to Europe, Africa, China, India and the West Coast of the USA.
