Samsung Together With Optus Launch The New Samsung Galaxy S Smartphone In Australia

Samsung Galaxy S available for purchase exclusively through Optus in July

Samsung Electronics Australia has announced the launch of its new Galaxy S smartphone in Australia, available exclusively through Optus from 1st July for $0 upfront on the $59 'yes' Social plan*. Samsung's Galaxy S represents the future of smartphones, inviting you to 'Turn on a Smart Life' through game-changing, intelligent, immersive and integrated mobile experiences. From August, Samsung's new smartphone will be available through all major mobile phone carriers.

Featuring Samsung's dazzlingly bright four inch Super AMOLED screen and a 1GHz application processor, the Android powered Samsung Galaxy S is designed to help Australians turn on their smart life through best-in class services and technologies. Samsung's super-fast TouchWiz 3.0 user-interface (UI) will provide instant and easy access to applications and services and SWYPE text input allows for intuitive and fast texting and emailing. In addition, Samsung's Social Hub service will facilitate constant, easy and integrated personal calendar, contacts and social networking, across sites including Facebook and Twitter. The Samsung Galaxy S eReading feature provides access to millions of content sources at your fingertips, including books, magazines and newspapers on the move. Finally, more than 50,000 applications from the Android Market will allow you to extend the benefits and functionality of Samsung's new smartphone.
