Optus announced today that its instant rewards program - Recharge and Always Win - has distributed over 39 million prizes to millions of happy customers across Australia since it launched three years ago1.
In 2007, Optus was the first mobile operator in Australia to launch a recharge and win program, in an effort to give Optus prepaid mobile subscribers both immediate value and exclusive rewards.
Today, all Optus and Boost prepaid mobile and mobile broadband customers are guaranteed a chance to win any number of instant prizes every time they recharge their prepaid service.
Michael Smith, Managing Director, Optus Consumer said, "As we head towards our 40 millionth prize giveaway, customers have told us that they want instant rewards that they can use immediately, not wait 90 days or more to redeem as with other reward programs. It's important to Optus that we provide true rewards through instant prizes as well as once in a lifetime experiences."
Optus and Boost prepaid customers are eligible to win a host of prizes in the Recharge and Always Win program, including handsets and mobile credit, iPods, video cameras, movie passes plus big ticket items such as cars.
Optus continues to reward its customers with exclusive opportunities across a range of programs. Other initiatives include Optus Movie Rewards™ and Yes Tickets. To date Optus Movie Rewards™ has given away thousands of movie passes to exclusive preview screenings nationwide. Yes Tickets has a current customer membership of hundreds of thousands, some of which have benefited from thousands of tickets across a range of family, concert, and sporting events as well as hundreds of overseas holidays and 'money can't buy' experiences.
