Optus has today announced it will be the first carrier in Australia to offer the Dell Streak from October 1st.
The first Android tablet device to be launched in Australia, the Dell Streak, will be available for $0 upfront on a $59 contract*, which includes 2GB of data, Unlimited Standard National SMS & MMS and up to $550 worth of calls national calls*. The plan also includes unlimited access to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace - ensuring people can get the most out of their social networking on the go without worrying about incurring excess data charges.
Hitting the sweet spot between larger tablet PCs and traditional smartphones, the Dell Streak provides people with the all the functionality of a tablet, plus voice functionality, with a 5-inch display and optimised features making it the perfect option for the multimedia hungry user who wants a device that can also be used for calls.

The Dell Streak will be available in store and online from October 1st.
