Optus announced today a multi-million dollar advertising campaign - entitled 'We're Right Behind Business' - which will launch nationally on 15 February.
The campaign aims to communicate a consistent message to Optus' business customers, who range from small businesses through to large corporations and government agencies.
John Simon, Managing Director, Optus Enterprise and Business Group said, "Increasingly organisations rely on telecommunication products and services to conduct day to day business and enhance and improve their competitive edge. Whether they are communicating directly with customers, conducting business online or providing staff with the tools they need to do their jobs and be more productive, telecommunications are essential to doing business today.
"As a result business customers want to work with a telecommunications partner who is easy to do business with and who will support them by providing the flexibility and scalability they need to succeed. In addition they want to work with a telecommunications partner who provides value and cost certainty, something which rings particularly true in the current business climate."
The campaign retains animals as a uniquely Optus branding device, represented as animal shadows and conveying the message that Optus supports business.
"Our customers have told us they want a partner to support them, not control them, a service provider that lets them get on with running and growing their business by providing them with the tools they need to be successful," Mr. Simon said.
"Regardless of size, the industry they operate in, or the products or services they provide, telecommunications are fundamental to running a business in the digital age. Where once certain technologies were solely the realm of large business today they are commonplace.
"We therefore intend to leverage the experience we have working with some of the largest companies in Australia, to develop products and services which are relevant for small businesses. Likewise, we can draw on the knowledge we have working with small businesses to develop solutions which are suitable for teams and even individuals within larger organisations," Mr. Simon said.
The first phase of the advertising campaign will be seen in print and online publications as well as high traffic 'outdoor' sites such as airports.
The campaign was created in association with Optus' advertising agency M&C Saatchi and media agency Media Planning Group (MPG).
