Optus announced today the continued expansion of its mobile network in the Clarence Valley with new mobile sites being activated in the Grafton CBD and Ulmarra.
These facilities will provide enhanced Optus 3G coverage in Grafton and Ulmarra with the latter site providing an enhancement to coverage along the Pacific Highway.
Anthony Shiner, General Manager Optus Country said Optus is continuously raising the bar when it comes to improving mobile coverage.
"Over the past 12 months Optus has expanded its mobile coverage across NSW by investing in new infrastructure in a number of regional areas to improve services for our customers.
"With the Northern Rivers region continuing to record the fastest economic growth in the New South Wales, Optus is expecting to see an increase in mobile traffic and is continuing to invest in important communications infrastructure to support that growth over the coming years.
"In addition to sites in the Grafton CBD and Ulmarra, Optus is planning investment in new infrastructure over the next 12 months in a number of towns across the Clarence Valley including Minnie Water, Copmanhurst and Billys Creek.
"This expansion will provide people living and working in Grafton CBD and Ulmarra with better mobile coverage on a long term basis," Mr Shiner said.
