Optus exposes new broadband plans offering flexibility and freedom

Optus announced today an evolution of its broadband products offering Naked Broadband and Month to Month Broadband plans, enabling customers the freedom to choose what they need.

Naked Broadband allows customers to enjoy the speeds and reliability of the Optus network without bundling with a home phone but allows the ability to bundle with your Optus mobile.

Month to month broadband plans provide flexibility for customers who cannot commit to a standard 24 month contract.

"These offerings are a clear disruption in the market, allowing customers to pay for exactly what they need, delivering real savings back into their household budget," Michael Smith, Acting Managing Director, Optus Consumer said.

"Naked broadband means customers can choose to have standalone broadband or they can bundle with their mobile phone and enjoy the benefits. Month to Month broadband allows our customers greater freedom if 24 months contracts are not appropriate.

"Unlike our competitors, Optus has the capability for customers to bundle their naked broadband with their mobile, providing real value and alternatives to manage their monthly spend.

"Customers now have the choice to bundle their broadband with their mobile phone and save $10 on their monthly rate and with our 'yes' Timeless mobile plans, they are experiencing unlimited voice calls and SMS to any network within Australia.

"This is another example of Optus' strategy to focus on its own network, whilst offering customers value and convenience," Mr Smith said.

For a limited time only, customers can connect to Naked Broadband with $0 setup cost* and $49.99 bundled per month with an eligible Optus Post Paid mobile plan and 7GB data, or $59.99 standalone per month with 7GB data**.

Optus Broadband offers a range of plans for every kind of broadband user with fast speeds for browsing and downloading.

Additionally customers can download Optus Internet Security Suite, an internet protection package free until 30 June 2009***.

Optus will support these product launches with advertising campaigns in the coming months.
