Optus announced today two strategic appointments to the senior leadership team for Optus Business and Optus Wholesale and Satellite.

Marilyn Conyer has been appointed to the role of Marketing Director, Optus Business. Marilyn joined Optus in December 2005 and has been a driving force behind the successful growth of Mobile in Optus Business among other achievements.

Prior to joining Optus, Marilyn held senior marketing and product management roles at Hutchison "3", Alcatel and Telstra, as well as owning her own marketing consultancy business.

Marilyn has been acting in the role since February 2007.

Gavin Williams has been appointed to the role of Marketing and Strategy Director, Optus Wholesale. Gavin has over 15 years experience in the IT and telecommunications industry and has developed a range of innovative business solutions to promote intelligent networking in Australia.

Gavin was previously with the Optus Business team in management roles. He has achieved success in driving market share growth particularly in IP and convergence solutions and more recently leading the Optus Business transformation project.
