Optus announced today a further enhancement to its network coverage in Victoria with the installation of a new mobile facility at Mirboo North.
Warren Hardy, Managing Director Optus Consumer said, "The new site will provide increased coverage in Mirboo North and along the Strezlecki Highway, allowing residents or visitors to the area to use their Optus mobile on the go.
"The expansion is part of Optus' strategy to expand our network in Australia, providing the highest quality of GSM coverage.
"To date, Optus has invested more than $420 million to roll out more than 1,200 mobile base stations across Victoria, providing network coverage to 99 per cent of the state's population.
"Optus continues to support and invest in the Gippsland region, being proud sponsors of the Traralgon Agricultural Show for the past three years and again later this year.
"Optus is providing local residents with a real alternative to other carriers and allowing current Optus customers to use their mobile phones in more places in the region," Mr Hardy said.
