Optus announced today a further enhancement to its network coverage in Victoria with the installation of a new mobile facility at Kialla in the Goulburn Valley.
Warren Hardy, Managing Director Optus Consumer said, "The new site will increase the depth of coverage in Kialla and enhance existing sites in the area.
"Optus has invested significantly in the Goulburn Valley region in recent years with the development of new sites at Shepparton North, Shepparton East and Kialla South.
"Optus has also upgraded existing sites at Mooroopna, Tatura and Kyabram.
"With these additional sites and upgrades, Optus provides seamless coverage for its customers in the area, allowing customers to use their mobile phones in more places in the region.
"This expansion aligns with Optus' strategy to extend its network in Australia, providing the highest quality of GSM coverage.
"To date, Optus has invested more than $420 million to roll out more than 1,200 mobile base stations across Victoria, providing network coverage to 99 percent of the state's population," Mr Hardy said.
