Optus Launches Sony Ericsson P910i with BlackBerry Connect

Optus, Sony Ericsson and Research In Motion (RIM) today announced the availability of the new P910i smartphone with BlackBerry™ Connect® in Australia. The P910i provides consumers with advanced voice and data capabilities and the latest in telephony convergence.

Optus customers can now purchase the new Sony Ericsson P910i on the Optus BlackBerry $99 Cap Plan with monthly handset payments of $36¹. For $99, customers will receive up to $500 of voice calls and text per month. The plan also includes up to 50MB of BlackBerry push-email and internet browsing per month.

"With the new offer, consumers can enjoy a range of Optus' services on one easy-to-use handheld device. These services include an expansive mobile network, easy broadband internet usage and interactive content with the Optus Zoo portal," Chris Lane, Group Director Products and Delivery, Optus Consumer said.

It includes special features such as a touch screen, flip-down phone and QWERTY keypad, MP3 music player, a camera capable of recording video and still images, and up to 64MB of internal memory, expandable to 1GB using Memory Stick™ Pro Duo.
